Expungement requirements have changed!

The Supreme Court of New Mexico recently changed the rules and forms for all expungements but importantly for those with non-conviction cases. Non-conviction cases are usually where a nolle prosequi was filed, the Defendant was acquitted, or participated in a pre-prosecution diversion program (to name a few common examples.) In the past non-conviction cases, required a New Mexico Department of Public Safety background check along with a background check from the FBI. For non-conviction cases, now only the NMPDS background check is necessary saving clients time and money. While the paperwork has increased, we here at the firm are ready to handle an expungement for you whether you were convicted or not. Call us for a free consultation and work-up at 505-247-9500.
